In this blog, we&#8217;ll tell you the most important rules regarding privacy, cookies, your terms and conditions, and more! Make sure your website is legally compliant!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:75px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1: The Privacy Statement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you collect personal data via your website? For example, through a contact form, newsletter subscription, or webshop? Then, according to privacy legislation (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR), you are required to post a privacy statement on your website. This statement informs your customers and visitors what personal data you collect, what you do with it, and why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your privacy statement must include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What data you collect (such as name, email address, postal address)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why you collect that data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How long you store it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether you share the data with others (for example, for payments to external parties)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Tip: <\/strong>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/termly.io\/\">privacy statement from termly.io<\/a>. They will help you with a basic text for your own privacy statement. Then create a <strong>new page<\/strong> via Webador and name it \u2018<em>privacy statement<\/em>\u2019. Then it&#8217;s a good idea to let people know that these things are yours and are protected by copyright, for example. This prevents others from simply taking them and using them without permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Codes of conduct:<\/strong> Are you a member of a trade association with certain rules? Then it is good to mention this.
